We think some doors make great table tops, particularly if made from oak. This one is made from an old French prison door that we discovered in a salvage yard. The wonderful legs, also made from oak, are roofing joists from an ancient Kentish barn. This table is finished with a pale white stain and oiled, to achieve a durable sheen.

Created out of laminated slats of oak that have been used as part of the sea defences at Winchelsea Beach. Blue metal from bolt fixings has washed into the grain of the pale oak, making a pattern that evokes the landscape of that coastland.

Weathered by the elements and sand blasted by us - these reclaimed timbers from groynes at Pett Level look great around this wood burning stove in a Fairlight farmhouse.
